This TED.com talk comes from Raghava KK, an artist and father. He describes the importance of teaching perspective, especially at a young age, as an integral part of developing empathy and compassion. We all have our personal bias, so, naturally we are inclined to impress that upon our children. His counter-point is that by instead exposing our children to a variety of different biases, that they may become more open to the world around them.
It makes me hope for a future with less conflict and more cooperation.
