Day Two of the WP Carey Business School’s Women’s Leadership Roundtable certainly didn’t disappoint. Keeping the intense momentum as the previous day, the sessions covered topics such as sponsorship and mentorship and the differences between them, how to build relational value and position yourself to sponsors, mentors and peers, how to effectively promote yourself and most importantly how to speak the language of leadership through gender bilingual communication.

Gloria Feldt began her presentation with this talk by Social psychologist, Amy Cuddy. It shows how “power posing” — standing in a posture of confidence, even when we don’t feel confident — can affect our chances for success. Cuddy advocates that through tiny tweaks we can reconfigure our brains to help us feel more assertive, confident, relaxed, risk tolerant, and fearless.

It was definitely one of my favorite takeaways from the Roundtable event. And it’s not just because I’m a Wonder Woman fan.

Take a look for yourself. Then strike a pose.
