Disruptive Innovation is an innovation that helps create a new market and value network, and eventually disrupts an existing market and value network (over a few years or decades), displacing an earlier technology.”-Wikipedia.

In today’s world technology is always changing, people are attached to their phones, using them for almost everything in their daily lives. More and more people today are wanting take professional quality photos without being a professional photographer. Some of the ways that people are starting to do this is by purchasing extra attachment and lenses for their phones that they can travel with.

A local company here in Phoenix called Bridge Optix  is hoping to make that possible. They started a KickStarter campaign that would fund their production of a phone case and set of lenses that would allow people to take professional style photos with their cell phone.

In the future it is clear that professionals will use technology like this in their everyday lives. More expensive professional cameras will become less important to photography. With the new cell phone cameras, photographers do not have to hall around heavy, large cameras and lots of extra equipment. This innovation also allows anyone to be a professional photographer in personal settings as well as professional environments.

Because of this disruptive innovation anyone is able to be a journalist out in the world filming and photographing news worthy events across the world.
